A congestion score is a percentage that shows how much longer it takes to travel on a road with traffic compared to when there is no traffic. The higher the congestion score, the more congested the road is, and a score of more than 30 per cent is considered congested.

For Diwali travel planning this year, HERE has identified optimal departure times by taking into account historical traffic patterns, road conditions, and real-time data.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) — The Mary Kay Ash Foundation, and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), are celebrating five years of collaborative success on the International Postdoctoral Scholars in Cancer Research Fellowship programme.

Hosted at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center, the fellowship is a two-year postdoctoral programme sponsored by the Mary Kay Ash Foundation.

Established in 2019, the programme set out to recruit exemplary international researchers in their respective fields, provide them with invaluable experience, mentorship, and a return grant to continue their pursuits in their home country, bringing their knowledge and experience gained with them.

To date, the programme has successfully recruited 13 highly accomplished postdoctoral researchers from Brazil, China, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Spain and Portugal, in which all have made impactful contributions to notable research publications.

The new program enables physicians to request ZTALMY for eligible patients with seizures associated with CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD) in geographies where the product is not commercially available and as supported by local regulatoryrequirements. The Marinus Access Program will be managed by Durbin, a leader in the international distribution of specialized pharmaceuticals.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and European Commission approvals of ZTALMY in CDD are supported by data from the Phase 3 Marigold double-blind placebo-controlled trial, in which 101 patients were randomized and individuals treated with ZTALMY showed a median 30.7% reduction in 28-day major motor seizure frequency, compared to a median 6.9% reduction for those receiving placebo, achieving the trial’s primary endpoint (p=0.0036). In the Marigold open label extension study, patients treated with ZTALMY for at least 12 months (n=48) experienced a median 49.6% reduction in major motor seizure frequency. In the clinical development program, ZTALMY demonstrated efficacy, safety and tolerability with the most common adverse reactions (incidence ≥5% and at least twice the rate of placebo) in the ZTALMY group being somnolence, pyrexia, salivary hypersecretion and seasonal allergy. In May 2022, the results from the Marigold study were published in The Lancet Neurology.1

INT’L COMIC CONFERENCE OPENS IN ANCIENT CHINESE CITY ANYANG

ANYANG, China, Nov. 6, 2023 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/–

An international comic conference opened Saturday in the ancient city of Anyang, central China’s Henan Province, attracting over 1,000 cartoonists and animators from 12 countries and regions including China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore.
 
A total of 2,931 comic works from 29 countries and regions are on display at the 19th International Comic Conference, which will last until Nov. 8, according to the Organizing Committee.
 
A special exhibition on China’s comics over the past 30 years is also on show, showcasing the masterpieces of 70 Chinese cartoonists.
 
The international comic conference was jointly initiated by cartoon industry organizations in China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries and regions in 1996.
 
Anyang is one of the eight ancient capitals of China, where the Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC) built its capital over 3000 years ago. The characters inscribed on the oracle bones and animal bones unearthed here, known as oracle bone script, are the earliest mature writing system discovered in China to date. The International Comic Conference at the hometown of oracle bone script brings about unique charm to the event.
