With the theme of “Travelling to the remotest corners of the world, but Hongtong is home”, the series of activities of 2023 Linfen Hongtong Big Locust Tree Tourist Season to Trace the Roots of Ancestors have been launched recently, in Hongtong County, Shanxi Province. The activities will last until May 1.

Hongtong County is part of Linfen City, Shanxi Province. In recent years, Hongtong has actively established a gathering area for cultural tourism and health care in Shanxi, expanded and upgraded the quality of the first batch of national integrated tourism demonstration zones, and made great efforts to build an internationally renowned cultural tourism destination, according to the Publicity Department of Hongtong County. With the successful series of activities of the 2023 Tourism Season, Hongtong is embracing the world, inviting the descendants of Dahuaishu, or the Big Locust Tree, to “go back home” for sightseeing and tracing their roots.

HONG KONG SEVENS BACK AS RUGBY LOVERS CHEER IN HONG KONG STADIUM


KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 (Bernama) — As Hong Kong returns to the international stage, Hong Kong Sevens was finally back in the Asian world city in full swing from March 31 to April 2.

According to Hong Kong Tourism Board in a statement, this year’s tournament also made history to include the first women’s competitions alongside the men’s on the same days.

The tournament gathered some of the world’s best rugby players from 28 of the premier men’s and women’s Rugby Sevens teams at the iconic Hong Kong Stadium.

New Zealand took home the champions in both men’s and women’s tournaments against strong contenders including Fiji, Australia, Great Britain, South Africa and the host Hong Kong China this year.

Rugby lovers worldwide flocked to Hong Kong to watch one of the most celebrated international tournaments and experience the adrenaline-filled atmosphere at the stadium.

Enthusiastic fans attended the sports extravaganza in creative costumes, while enjoying the immersive experience with a tremendously hyped crowd in the uniquely Hong Kong party across three days.

SOAK IN BLOOMING PEONY AT HEZE PEONY INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION FORUM, APRIL 9

KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 (Bernama) – The Heze Peony International Communication Forum hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the China Foreign Language Publishing Administration, will be held at Huimengtai of Heze on April 9.

Themed ‘Creating a Chinese Cultural Identity and Sharing the Story of Heze Peony with the World’, the forum aims to promote the international communication of Heze peony and build a peony culture platform for strengthening mutual exchange, multi-industry integration and the city’s influence.

Meanwhile, ‘6’ refers to the six segments of the forum, namely the exhibition of achievements, the opening ceremony, keynote speeches, round-table seminars, the signing ceremony of ‘Cultural Communication and Innovation Cooperation Base – Peony Culture International Communication Center’, and the launching of the initiative of peony garden construction overseas.

‘N’ refers to a series of activities such as observation trips before the forum, themed seminars, media reports, foreign internet celebrity and influencer trips, ‘Peony Tea Party’ for international friends.

The forum will promote the shaping of an international peony brand and the communication of peony culture. Various activities will be closely combined with the peony and special industries of Heze.

Important guests will be invited to exchange new thoughts, ideas and judgments from different angles and dimensions on the world’s pattern and make the voice of China heard.

HKTB: Physical 100 contender Choo Sung-hoon Discovers Hong Kong in 100 hours

KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 (Bernama) — Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced that Korean mixed martial arts fighter Choo Sung-hoon, has toured Hong Kong, discovering the hidden gems of the city solo dolo.

According to HKTB in a statement, the contender from NETFLIX Physical 100 recently came to town for the “Pro-Am Tournament” for the World City Championship presented by the Hong Kong Golf Club.

Following the tournament, Choo was invited by HKTB onto a day tour in Hong Kong specially designed for the suave and sophisticated.

His day time itinerary included a deluxe party tram ride on Hong Kong island; dim-sum tasting in Woo Cheong Tea House in Wan Chai, as well as refined suit making at century-old custom tailor Loa Hai Shing.

“Like other Koreans, I have been really missing Hong Kong, especially the food and the attractions. Hong Kong is such a charming city where you never get bored because there is always something new,” said Choo, recalling that the last time he visited Hong Kong was seven years ago.

“My wife and daughter Sarang were here with me on this trip. They headed off to world class art happenings in town including Art Basel while I got to enjoy some me time.

“I was here for around 100 hours and it was just as challenging as Physical 100 since I had to explore the city one could never get enough of. What impressed me the most was the TramOramic Tour Tram. A century-old vehicle traversing a metropolis is just so symbolic of Hong Kong, a city that blends the Old perfectly with the New,” he added.

This March, from a series of world-class art events to the Hong Kong Sevens, Hong Kong is teeming with exciting activities, in addition to the highlight of Choo’s tour in the city.
